girl time

I met up with one of my good friends yesterday for some much needed girl time. When I started writing this post, I started to think about how special our friendship is.

Our friendship spans close to a decade. She has seen me through my lifes' biggest milestones: my engagement, my marriage and the birth of my two daughters .

I love our friendship. Unfortunately we don't get to see each other as often as we would like, but when we do get together, it's like no time has passed.

We are both avid tea drinkers so of course, our girls day started out with tea time at my favorite tea lounge.

We then headed to this really cool New York style deli Solly's Bagelry. If you are local and haven't eaten here, it's a must!!

(the best chicken soup!)

After our delicious meal, we headed off to the Portobello West Fashion & Art Market. The Portobello West market was inspired by the famous artisan markets of Europe. There were so many great vendors there, it was total sensory overload!!

Of course, we couldn't leave empty handed, I picked up this wool felt poppy hair clip and hair band from this lovely Etsian.

I found my dear friend just staring in awe at these gorgeous porcelain works of art. She couldn't walk away without purchasing two, one for herself and one for her future mother in law.

It was a lovely way to spend Sunday afternoon. I hope yours was just as lovely!

Wow, that was such great finds! I love the felt flowers...are they clip ons? The fresh flowers also inspired me to go back to my routine of going to the farmer's market.

I love the way you write and your pictures along with it.
The hair clips are great. Maybe I can make them myself.

I don't have children but for some reason all those things we used to do (like spending time with friends) always seem to get pushed to one side but for me I'm trying to fit in back into my life again as you realise just how much you loved those days when you come across that friend again.

what a lovely day that sounds like. My best friend lives in another country, about 6 hours away by plane. It doesn't matter that it's been years since I got to hug her, she's still my very best friend. I'm glad you have that too, there's just no substitute.
Here's to friends who stick with us.
