dads craft too

Well, at least this dad does...

(notice the necklace he is wearing? Zoe made that for him and insisted he wear it, which he did! )

Zoe had brought home a craft from preschool one day and Pia was so excited by it. Of course, Zoe wouldn't even let Pia look at it.

Instead of having Pia sad all day, my hubby brought them to the store to purchase all the supplies needed so that Zoe and Pia could make one together.

Tada! Here is the finished product! A pair of caterpillars. And just in case you were wondering, we did have green paper for the leaves, but Zoe's favorite colour is pink, so of course she wanted a pink leaf and Pia's favorite colour is blue, so of course she wanted a blue leaf.

So in the end, crafting with dad not only resulted in two pretty caterpillars but two very happy little girls.

That's so sweet. I think it's the loveliest thing when a father crafts with his kids. :)

Aww that is such quality time spent together and even better that both girls got to make one each the way they wanted and not how it should be.

Love when daddy gets crafty. My hubby has been known to wear necklaces made of pasta, wooden beads, etc. in public at the request of my girls too!

Awww, how adorable!! I can totally relate to the 'she wouldn't even let her LOOK at it' blurb, too funny. Us sisters, we can be odd and finicky like that unfortunately, esp. when we're little. That is the sweetest thing that your hubby crafted with them, and wore the necklace. I literally 'awwwed'. <3 My Dad loves crafts, so it was always odd for me to find out that that was kind of an abnormality in men, haha. The little caterpillars are so cute, hope to see more posts of 'crafting with Dad', for this is truly lovely. :]
