what i'm reading wednesdays

I have finally finished reading The Time Traveller's Wife. It took me a little while to get through (oh, how I miss the days of my care free youth when I could read a novel a day!)

I. LOVED. IT.

My hubby brought me home the movie, so I'm going to watch that tonight (hopefully).

I just purchased The Secret Life of Bees on this lovely bloggers' suggestion (Thanks Linda!) I can't wait to get it!

And while I was on line buying it, I couldn't help but also purchase this lovely little book. I have been eyeing it for a while and finally succumbed. I love anything to do with decorating, so I doubt I will have buyers remorse with this one.
Does anyone have either book? What do you think?

What are your latest book purchases?

The Secret Life of Bees is a great book... I also have The Time Travelers Wife, but have still yet to read it. My sister got it for me a few years back. I haven't bought any books lately, but I love craft/sewing/diy books and anything fashion related. I got The Sartorialist from my sissy-in-law.. it's a great book. And one of my fav books of all time is The Griffin and Sabine Triology.. it's quirky and a very surreal "love story". :)

xx Love & Aloha

I have several Sue Monk Kidd books and she's always got a great story to tell. The Domino book is sure to please, too! I'm currently reading Dirt (edited by Mindy Lewis) The Quirks, Habits, and Passions of Keeping House. I figure if I'm not cleaning myself, I might as well be reading about those who do! Just kidding...about the cleaning part...that's all I'm doing lately and boy does my house need it!

Enjoy your books and let us know what you think of them! Beth

I just re-read The Outsiders, currently working my way through Love In A Cold Climate. Having a bit of a classics revival. :-)

I'm a little embarassed to say what I'm currently reading... "The Vampire Diaries" I know it's for teens (and so is the TV show) but they're such easy, mindless reading and I love the story! haha!

I have read all three of these (or as much as you can read a decorating book...I basically drooled over that one). You will LOVE the movie of TTW. I can't wait for you to see it. And you will love The Secret Life of Bees movie too...I taught that book in class last year and became the best English teacher ever, just by default :)

Let us know what you think about the movie! I read the book first too and then the movie and I personally thought they did a great job portraying the essence of the book in visual form. I loved it (and I also love the actors who played the characters)!

Secret Life of Bees was a good read too! I don't have any suggestions though, I've been reading young adult fiction/fantasy LOL cuz it's so quick and satisfying to read.

(I <3 that Domino book, I've had that on my wishlist a long time!)

I have had the Time Travellers Wife sitting on my nightstand for over a year now. lol! I am excited to read The Secret Life of Bees as well, you know, right after I get through those other 518 pages (I just checked to see how many there are, lol).

"the time traveler's wife" is my ABSOLUTE favorite!! i got it for christmas from a dear friend of mine in 2004 and everyone i've loved i've made them read it. It meant that much to me.

the secret life of bees- i saw the movie and was completely moved... sad i didn't read it first.

I'm reading Eat Pray Love (can't get enough!!) so i don't make the mistake and see the movie first this time round. ;)

and that Domino book... I can't believe i haven't gotten it yet for my coffee table.

The Secret Life of Bees is one of my favorite books! I've re-read it a few times & shared it with so many people. I love the movie too.

Time Traveler's Wife is an incredible book too but I didn't like the movie as much.

I just finished The Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult & I can't decide what to read next.

Saw the movie "the secret life of bees" and I liked it. Never read the book. I am sure you will like it :)

Let me know how you like that Domino book because I've had that book on my Amazon cart forever! Want to buy.

I've been crushing on the domino book for so very long. Sadly, all the books I've purchased recently have been for my grad classes. They're interesting, yes, but I'm not learning any good interior design tips, and I'm certainly not getting lost in them (getting lost in a good book is one of my favorite things).

I've never read 'The Time Traveler's Wife' nor seen the movie. But I always hear lovely things about it, like this. :]

'The Secret Life of Bees' is one of my favorite films, ever. So I'm sure the book is amazing as well. Be sure to let us know how it is when you're finished!

The Domino book is AMAZING, I love just looking through it, let alone actually reading all the ideas and whatnot. Don't currently own it, but have flipped through it enough at Barnes and Noble to know it's awesome, haha. :] <3
