lolo did good

A few weeks ago, my dad had to unexpectedly make a trip back to the Philippines. It was such short notice that my mom was not able to join him.

On his way to the airport, he called me to say good bye to the girls. He then asked me what I wanted him to bring back for me. I replied, "Nothing Dad..." and then I quickly changed my mind. "Um, Dad if you get a chance can you go to Gingersnaps and buy Zoe and Pia something?" Even before the words left my mouth, I thought a) If my dad even made it to a mall (he is so not a shopper) he would have no clue what store I am talking about and b) If he happened to find Gingersnaps, how in the world would he be able to choose clothes for 2 little girls?

His reply was "Gingersnaps? you want cookies?"

"Um, never mind Dad..."

Gingersnaps, for those of you who don't know, is just the most fabulous childrens clothing store. Only thing is, it's only in Asia.

Just take a look at the background of their website! How cute!!

And these necklaces are just too adorable!

And if you like those necklaces... take a look at their packaging!

If you think their bags and accessories are cute, you have to see the clothes... oh, the clothes.

Well, when my dad arrived home from his trip we went over to visit him. My sweet dad met us at the door with two Gingersnaps bags!!

I said "Dad! you found Gingersnaps?"

I excitedly opened up the first bag and inside was this....

And the second bag held this....

Astonished and very, very happy, I said to my dad, "Dad you picked these out yourself?"

He turned to me with a surprised look..."Of course I did!"

I guess I didn't give my dad enough credit! Lolo did good!!!!

Ohmygosh! This store/website is soooo cute! I wish there was one here in Hawaii. I would totally buy things for my little daughter (when I have one) from there! The packaging alone is sooo cute! Tell your dad he did a wonderful job picking out those cute things for the girls.

What cute little dresses!!!! I'd like to think that my dad might be like that whenever he has grand kids. Maybe I'll even be able to convince him to make a little trip over to the Philippines to pick up some of these! ;-)

that is THE sweetest story i've heard in a long time! oh my goodness, how adorable and awesome is that? those clothes are to die for, i wish they came in adult sizes, haha. and thank you for sharing the packaging too, oh my i had a little packaging heart attack they are so cute. really, why can't more stores have better packaging? i would do a lot more store-to-store shopping and less online/etsy shopping if they did! <3
