summer to do list #1

#1 on our "summer to do list":

teach Zoe how to ride a two wheeler bike

We bought her a bike a few days ago. Nothing fancy, but we made sure there was a handle brake as well as a pedal brake
oh! and streamers on the handle bars... of course!

My first born is by nature a very cautious little girl

Put her on a two wheeler big girl bike and she turns into a 4 year old granny

She is an extremely conscientious biker, never going faster than one kilometre an hour nor going near any "hills" (which in reality are only little slopes on the road)

We are hoping this 4 year old granny will throw caution to the wind and pedal faster than one kilometre an hour... just fast enough to gain her balance...

and maybe just maybe we will be able to take those training wheels off by summer's end!

I'm sure she'll get there. I still remember the day my training wheels came off -- I couldn't believe I was doing it all by myself. Keep capturing these moments.

Also, the streamers -- you are one awesome mom.

She's growing fast! You can do it Zoe! I remember Dave was also 4 when he 1st rode his 2-wheel bike. The knee and elbow pads helped alot in conquering his fear of getting hurt if he fall.

LOL about the 4 year old granny. My son was the same way but he eventually got the hang of it. We had to do it his way at first because he was so nervous. But, he finally learned and he was 4 too. Best of luck!

cute. Katie just informed me that she will be on training wheels "for one more year," I think it's going to take some convincing just getting Katie to try.
