sweet hearts

I made these sweet little crochet heart pins/clips for Zoe's class mates.

The boys got little pins...

and the girls got little hair clips.

I couldn't find a pattern that I really liked on line. So I came up with one of my own.

Please forgive me if the terms aren't right...I'm still learning.

Sweet Little Crochet Heart Pattern
chain 4
slip stitch into first chain to make a ring
chain 3
in the ring crochet 3 treble (or triple) crochets
crochet 3 double crochets
chain 1
crochet 1 treble crochet
chain 1
crochet 3 double crochets
crochet 3 treble (or triple) crochets
chain 2
slip stitch and fasten off

Zoe also handed out Sweethearts, because you can't celebrate Valentine's Day without sweethearts!

I also made this sweet heart garland to adorn our fireplace mantle. It was really simple and only took a few minutes. All you have to do is cut heart shapes out of fabric and sew onto yarn, twine or string.

Hang where ever your little heart desires!

Pretty and festive!

So creative! I would LOVE it if my children came home with little crocheted valentines. Thank you for posting the tutorial. I have grand plans on learning how to crochet and knit before the year is out. Your family is ridiculously beautiful, BTW!
