She would often scour shops for fine, rare porcelain tea cups. She would tell my 5 year old self, "Only buy it if it says Fine Bone China" or "Only buy china that says: Made in England"
To this day, the first thing I do when I pick up a tea cup is turn it over and see where it is made and if it is indeed made with "fine bone china".
I have a modest vintage tea cup collection. Here are a few that I would love to own.
Don't they make you want to have a lovely garden tea party and sit and sip tea all day?

I've always wanted to start a teacup collection! Maybe I'll start. :)
xx Love & Aloha
Lovely!
My Mum will ONLY drink hot drinks from a china mug. Because of this we have lots of China at home, including the set from the third photo down!
I love those pink cups with the scalloped flower edges. So sweet!
Those are so gorgeous! I just love the handles on teacups...you just don't get more sophisticated than that.
i don't own any teacups but i would LOVE to own any one of these sets you have posted here!! this totally makes me want to go antique shopping now jozen!! Hmm I'm not sure I have enough money to have a special collection of anything besides clothes and shoes haha!!
these are all so pretty!! they would be so fun to collect. and yes, they do make me pine for a garden tea party!
i looove vintage teacups. those are the things i look for first whenever i go to a thrift store -- definitely want to have a collection one day!
I've never given much thought to collecting tea cups, mainly because I don't have anywhere to store them. But now I so want to start. That first tea cup on top of the stack is just beautiful. If I had a collection, I would definitely have regular tea parties. At least once a week.
love these! i love the idea of having a little outdoor tea party with mismatched plates, cups and vintage tablecloths... of bliss!
gorgeous pics, i want to have a tea party!
