25 days of christmas

Wow! I have been so busy in my little corner of the world
making, buying and wrapping gifts that time
has totally escaped me! I didn't even get a chance
to post last week!

But here is proof of my busyness!

i wanted to share  with you all our annual advent countdown of the 25 days of christmas.
i don't know if some of you remember our countdown from last year,
but we are doing the same thing this year. unfortunately some of
my little envelope days got a wee bit torn in the excitement, so
i decided to invest in some sweet muslin pouches from etsy.

here is a break down of our 25 days of christmas so far:
day 1: put up the christmas tree
day 2: write our letters to santa
day 3: lip balm (of course! their mom is a lip balm junkie!)
day 4: some chocolate goodness
day 5: annual visit and photo with santa
day 6: some chocolate goodness
day 7: more lip balm (a girl can't have too many!)
day 8: make a gingerbread house

yesterday for day 9 i took the girls to the store and they were
able to chose one ornament each to hang on our tree.

they had so much fun!

i love how our advent calendar gets the girls
excited for our Lords' birth.

the pouches look especially sweet on our tree!

a few more activities i have lined up for the girls include:
baking christmas cookies
watching a movie in the theatres
driving around our neighborhood and looking at christmas lights

i am always looking for different activities to do with the girls for each day
and it's pretty easy enough to switch the activities in the bags...
so if you have any christmas traditions or fun ideaa, please let me know!

This is SO SWEET and those little muslin pouches look so charming on your tree. I just emailed this blog post to a friend of mine who just got an advent calendar for her little ones. Thanks for the ideas--they're lovely!
