date night

so the hubs and i managed to sneak in a date night this past week
we drove in to the city so that i could get some of my favorite tea
and then we decided to go macaron hunting!
 we hit up two places
the first place was urban fare
i ordered a pistachio and coffee
the pistachio was ok and the coffee was not good at all
(huge disappointment!)
the second place was the urban tea merchant
i picked up a pistachio, strawberry, milk chocolate
and coffee
every single one was delish!!!
we also wanted to hit up thomas haas
but we couldn't get to it before it closed (darn traffic!)
our friends say that the macarons there rival
the macarons that they have had in paris!!

if you are local and have any macaron suggestions, please
leave a comment!

we ended off the night with dinner with friends
we talked and talked into the wee hours of the morning
our circle of friends go all the way back to high school
we don't see them as often as we would like
but when we do, it's like no time has passed at all

easter sunday is almost upon us!
unfortunately both my girls are sick
i hope they get better soon
because our weekend is
 filled with easter celebrations!

do you have any special plans for easter?
whatever your plans may be
have a joyous easter everyone!!

Romans 1:4-5
And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name.

A macaron hunt? What a brilliant idea! I hope you have a wonderful Easter, Jozen. I'm hosting a brunch for some friends, then heading to another friend's family's home for dinner there. I'm so excited!
