it's finally happened

i am turning into my mom

example #1:
remember how your parents would always tell you "when i was young..." stories
well... i caught myself telling zoe how lucky she was because when i was a little girl.....

gasp i know... pretty bad... but wait there is more

example #2:
i am pretty hopeless when it comes to the tv and remote control
i mean come on, we have two remote controls for one tv
and each one has enough buttons on it to fly a jet plane!

example #3:
i turn over almost-empty lotion bottles, shampoo bottles, ketchup bottles
(any kind of bottle pretty much)
in order to get every little last drop in there

example #4:
i have licked my thumb with my own siliva
and then have used said saliva to
wipe something off either zoe or pia's face
(hey! don't tell me you moms have never done it!)

example #5
i am brave enough to take my 5 year old and 3 year old on a
22 hour drive across the border
through 3 states
and countless cities
all in the name of a mouse

today is day 1 of our road trip
i will be posting more than my usual once a week post
so check back throughout the week
to see how our road trip is going!

Hope you're having a great roadtrip! And sometimes, turning into your mother isn't such a bad thing -- she raised you to be a beautiful person and you're doing the same for your little ones.

I am constantly pointing out how young football players on TV look, as well as questioning out loud whether "those kids" are old enough to be in the same pub as me! Creeps up on you, doesn't it?!
