any hockey fans out there?
well, if you follow hockey then
you must know that our hockey team, the vancouver canucks
i will be honest, we aren't normally big hockey fans
(basketball is the sport in our home)
but the energy in the city is just so electrifying!
there are outdoor viewing parties in downtown vancouver
(entire streets have been closed off)
and in surrounding cities

the last time the canucks were in the stanley cup playoffs was 17 years ago
and the canucks have never won the cup in their entire 40 year history!
so, it's a pretty big deal
the series is tied 2-2 at the moment
and game 5 is tonight, and it's a home game
the other day, zoe mentioned that we are ''the only family that doesn't own jerseys''
so i told her that i would buy her a t-shirt
(jerseys are waaaay expensive!!)

I'm not a hockey follower either but it's hard not to hop on the bandwagon when everyone you see or talk to is talking Canuck. It's really contagious I think.
The last minute of Game 5 was sooooo scary for me. I was afraid the Bruins were gonna tie. Thank God they didn't! Ready for game 6!! :)
