25 days of christmas: day 20

for day 20 of our advent countdown

we painted family ornaments!

i ordered these unpainted wooden ornaments from goose grease

one dad, one mom and two little girls

after we finished dinner we spread out some newspapers on our dining table

and painted a little mini replica of ourselves

(or attempted to!)

this is mine, i was kind of nervous doing it because i don't paint!

can you tell i really wanted to capture my side swoosh bangs? haha!

here is our little ornament family all finished

pia was a little over zealous with her painting and accidentally

painted over her eyes

she was really sad and even cried about it

but i told her it was perfect just the way it was

i think this has been my favorite activity so far

because one day i will be an old lady and unpack my christmas ornaments

and bring these lovely ones out and remember
how much fun we all had painting them
