happy eggs

yesterday's post was a little sneak peek at our
easter egg decorating session this year

i have been seeing easter eggs decorated
with washi tape (or japanese happy tape)
popping up over all blog land

it totally looked like something a 5 year old
and 3 year old could handle
(translation: won't make  too  much of a mess for mommy to clean up)

i boiled some eggs
 grabbed all my happy tape
pre-ripped a few pieces for the girls
and pretty much told the girls
"cover all the brown!"
(we try to only eat free range eggs which are usually brown)

 and they did!!
 ta da! pretty cute eh??

and waaaaay easier than the eggs my mom made us do
when i was younger

the whole candle wax and dying of the eggs was fun to do
but i think i will wait until the girls are a little older for that

the girls are finally on the mend (praise God!)
so we will able to do an easter egg hunt (or two !)
which i hope to post pictures of tomorrow
hope the easter bunny paid your little corner of the world a visit!

What a fun idea, Jozen! And definitely a great way to keep the mess minimal. I can't wait to see photos of your Easter egg hunt.

I like this idea -- maybe next year we'll try this.
